How To Think About “Evolution” In The App
Upgrade the job, not just the icon
A weapon is “evolving” your run when it begins to solve a clearer job: wider horde control, safer close-range coverage, stronger boss pressure or better pickup rhythm. If that job is already covered, another copy of the same role may be less useful than a complementary weapon.
Match weapon role to gear role
Gear should support the same plan as the weapon. A crowd-clear weapon wants stats that help it stay active and reach enemies. A focused boss weapon wants enough survival and positioning support so you can keep firing during pressure.
Permanent stats can beat a new weapon
If every weapon feels weak, the issue may not be the weapon list. Check broad account upgrades first. Damage and Attack Speed often improve many weapons at once, while Range or survival stats fix specific failure points.
Spend rare resources only after testing
Before using Gilded Cores or high-value enhancement materials, run a simple test: did the weapon fail because it was under-supported, or because the build needed a different role? Do not make a permanent spend to fix a temporary draft mistake.
